Fixes to how the Analyst handles late arrivals, time zones, name matching, and billing questions.
The job
When you ask about today, a late load, or a bill, you want the answer to use your operation's day and the numbers on your screen, so you do not translate time zones or internal ids.
What changed
- Late arrivals have a defined ruleA ticket is late when it arrived at the jobsite after its scheduled arrival time. The answer states the definition it used, and you can ask for a grace window such as more than 15 minutes late.
- Dates follow your entity's time zoneQuestions about today, yesterday, or a specific date use your entity's time zone, so the day starts and ends when your operation does.
- Name matching is case-insensitiveCustomer, project, and product names match regardless of capitalization, and close misspellings still find the right record.
- Lookups use the numbers on your screenTicket, order, invoice, and billable lookups accept the identifiers you already use. You no longer need an internal CRN.
- Invoice and billable line itemsYou can ask what was charged on a billable or an invoice, including line items, quantities, and delivery addresses.
- Units of measure on totalsA total on a quantity field only carries a unit when the underlying data supports one.
- Large list requests ask for a filterIf a request would return more rows than are useful, the Analyst asks you to narrow the date range or filter rather than returning a partial list.
Why
"Today" and "late" were easy to misread, and lookups asked for ids that are not on the board.
Impact
Ask in the words you already use. A late ticket is one that reached the jobsite after its scheduled arrival, and the answer says so. If a list would be too large, you are asked to narrow it. Nothing new to set up.
Try it
From the order list
- Which tickets arrived late today, and by how many minutes?
- Show me billables for customer Acme this week with delivery addresses.
- How many tickets did we complete yesterday by plant?
Still true
The Analyst reads from your operational data warehouse, so figures can lag the live screen by a short interval. Verify on the record before acting. It cannot hold, void, or change anything.
Rate the answers in the panel, and tell us when a number looks wrong. That feedback is what sets the next release.
